The contest

Results were posted in the RD contest tonight, apparently labeling Sab as a chick-lit cost me a point as did my hook/blurb not being hookish enough. *sigh* So I came in 4th out of 5.
Which means I'm gonna abandon Sab & Lila for awhile. I just don't think I have the energy for those 2 anymore right now.

I'm giving you one day off then you'd better climb back on that horse and get that book done or I swear I'll come over there! Lol. Big hugs, let me know if you want any help, love you sweetie xxx

Hugs, Lis, but congratulations on getting into the top five! I know what you mean about needing to step back from a story for a while, though. Get some R&R and come back even stronger :)

I'm with Nell. Rework it, if chick-lit hurts the chances then re-work it - you know what to do. Although, I'd give you the weekend.

Thanks guys! Nell just might take you up on that offer :o) I think right now its more of a just changing the label (and maybe cutting the three Jimmy Choo references?) then switching genres and starting over, though my one friend is convinced I can make it a REAL romance if I wanted

Lis, lots of hugs! You deserved to be the first! If it's any consolation, even being in top five is a great accomplishment, and I'm very proud of you!

Thanks Olga *hugs* Yeah, when you think being 4th out of 33, it sounds better then 4 out of 5 :D

I'd have to trash about 90K of what's already written to do that (please no! lol)
