Dude, Where's My Muse?

Time to update the blog. I think posting in two consecutive days is a record for November. Didn't get much done (I think I was in a NaNo writing coma, I'm just starting to resurface, just in time for the holidays! *g*)

Scribbling down a list for shopping tomorrow, its very vague (mom snoops) but she pretty well has an idea of what I'm getting her anyways (stop at the body shop, some chocolates from laura secord...) and still debating a few items for a couple friends. I love the fact that we're guessing what to get each other lol A few of my friends give me lists which is great (reminds me I owe one of my best friends my list, hmmm time to browse tonight before amazing race? hope so) but a few others leave me out in the cold. Not that I mind but my brain power right now is sorta...poof...

Watched the isles game tonight. I'm beginning to think they're a pitiful team lol There were a bunch of players placed on waivers today and trade rumors are beginning to abound, so I'm crossing my fingers my favorite player gets moved. Out west would be nice. Edmonton even nicer :o)

What else, well Dad went in to the pre surgery clinic this morning. I guess he's scheduled to go in at 7:45 am Monday morning. Please send good thoughts and prayers his way. I think we're all a little nervous about it. Shouldn't take more than an hour they said, but still... And to top it off, he's gonna be in a sling not being able to move his arm for at least six weeks. Merry Christmas eh dad? :o)

Guess that's all that's in my head right now. Playing catch up on Xmas cards since I got a few more addresses emailed to me tonight. But if your on the mail card list, I should have them mailed out this weekend!

So I swung by NaNo's website this morning and uploaded my txt file and got my pretty pretty certificate :o) And the icons. I'd put them up but really not sure how to on here (computer challenged girl that I am! hehe)

Aside from that, still trying to sort out the rest of Sabrina. Running around doing errands, trying to get some of my Xmas shopping accomplished which really hasn't amounted to a whole heck of a lot.

Though with any luck cards and some presents will be in the mail by the end of the week.

Its about as creative as I can be right now, without quoting my John Cena CD.
"You want some, come get some" reminds me of that sign a few weeks back on RAW, Oh We Want Some. Couldn't have said it better myself *g*

So Sabrina's giving me headaches, literally. Could be migraines. But three days in a row the ugliest headaches I've had in awhile. I even changed the light bulb to a brighter one in case its too dark where the comp is, so see if that helps.

It might be a good thing I'm within 3K of 50K on Sabrina right now. Found out yesterday Dad's booked to go in for surgery on his shoulder December 5th. Which means we have to get all the Xmas shopping done, mailed, ect. by then and not too mention the tree up, and figure out what all else we need done before then. The joys.

I'm thinking I might make myself MORE insane and try to figure out one of those other 2 on the sidebar over there and send a partial in to M&B before Xmas. Stupid yes??

Enough rambles right now, but a long enough post that you all don't think I've been lost to NaNo which I kinda have :o)

Oh does anyone know what the heck happens when you upload your text file on the nano word count page? Is it supposed to change your word count or something?

45K on Sabrina...

Just hit 40K on Sabrina.

I think I'm in shock!!!

But it was a good day all around. Made it to working chat this afternoon, hit about 2k in there. Took a break to watch the Isles-Thrashers game and they interviewed my player not once, but TWICE!!! TWICE woohoo. First time this season. And he cracked jokes. :o)

Did the usual blog tour during a writing break, Marianne Mancusi's having what looks like a good workshop over at romance divas. Going to check that out soon as I back up Sabrina here in a minute.

Other than that...guess its time to play with Sabrina and put it back into some sort of order. 42 pages are and the next 70 aren't. I think I may need alcohol to get through this. Or chocolate. Hmmmm....

First off, watching RAW last night and the tribute to Eddie...it was so well done. From the moment it opened till Cena put the belt over Eddie's shirt at the end I was tearing up and crying. I can only imagine how hard it was one those guys to go on with the show on Sunday.

Making a little progress on Sabrina, didn't write Sunday or Monday but managed to type up the notes this afternoon and write in an impromptu writing chat with Kelly. So far I'm up about 5K from where I was Saturday so I passed the 30K mark and am almost over the 35K hump.
Might pass that tonight if I keep going or tomorrow if I decide to cut it short and go up and watch Gilmore and Supernatural. So we'll see.

Anyways, that's the update for this week. Tomorrow and Thursday won't be around much, watching hockey :o)

Thanks for the memories Eddie! You were one hell of an entertainer!

So I'm not sure what's behind my writing spurt in the last few days, but uh yeah, since November 1st I'm hitting 19K on Sabrina. So if I keep going at that rate, the book could be actually near done by the end of the month. Does that scare anyone else? lol

That perkiness comes off a very successful working chat this afternoon. It was my first and I have to give props to all the ladies in there. I did 3000 words in 3 hours. Yikes. Eeks. I'm shocked. Especially given the big fat ZERO I did last month.

I have to thank Nell for our chat on Monday. It got the idea perculating in my mind and I have some pages in my binder from Tuesday that need to be typed out so I'm not sure where I am overall but definitely above the 3K mark as of right now.

Let's see what else, November is off to a damn good start as my favorite NHL player got his first goal last night!!! Woohoo and an assist.
