Wow, 600. Seems a bit of a milestone and a better title then 'is this thing on?'
July has been crazy. Here's a list of a few of things that went on:
* Laptop fan
* Rescue as much as possible off laptop hard drive
* Submit manuscript
* Clean up and box a whole half a room before energy audit guy shows up because...
* new furnace and a/c is installed the very next day and day after...
* impromptu visit by relative I haven't seen in 20 yrs
* request for partial off query I forgot I sent last Sept.
* Dad's 60th birthday
So yeah, that's a bit of craziness, to be added to next month when:
* Mom's birthday
* Dad's two cataract surgeries
* Their anniversary
and I have my first cavity, which means finding a dentist that doesn't make me feel uncomfortable like the old one does. Happy, happy joy joy.
As you can tell, been a real great summer so far (can you detect the sarcasm?)
Took this in April, have to see if I can get one newer one.
It actually looks AND feels like summer outside today. I'm stunned. It's been so cool the last while that you'd actually think it was fall instead of the start of July. My poor flowers from seed are so stunted I'm thinking it may take a miracle for them to bloom before September.
But it was so nice out I spent a couple hours outside this afternoon, sitting in the sun and picking strawberries from the plants. Yum!! Found a bug that I'll have to google though and see what it is. The backyard bunny was sunning himself under the evergreen for quite awhile. It was the smaller of the three, he's a little more jumpy than the others but he still won't run far when you go by. Only bad thing is he's eating the leaves of everything--strawberries, grapes, petunias. Trying to get him to eat the lettuce and carrots lol
Well in the bad news portion of today's post, the fan on my laptop is going. It sounds like a jet engine and literally vibrates when its on my desk. So I spent the last 5 days clearing the 2 hard drives in it off via firewire because the DVD drive doesn't like to burn anymore either. All I can say is thank g-d it's under extended warranty. Bad part is, I have no idea how long I'll be without it.
In the good news portion, I'm doing the last read through/edit on CS and some of it isn't as bad as originally thought. So yay on that.
If you have a moment, can you take a look at my zazzle store (no, not a cheap plug lol) and see what you think of the writer's shirts. I'm not sure the font's right for the muse vacation and writer's block shirts. So if you take a look, let me know what you think. See my store at Zazzle
