Migraines
I've had the most horrible headaches from Saturday onwards. Just hoping they stay away today. It was so bad on Wednesday I went to bed at 5 in the afternoon because I couldn't take it anymore. *Sigh*
On the positive side, the workshops are going well and I'm pretty close to keeping up despite the ya know, headaches. Getting some good feedback and learning some new and interesting things. Plus plotting out a couple future ideas. See where they go.

It Gets Better
I have to share this because I am in total disbelief. Not only did the repair not fix the noise problem, but the new hard drive is noisy and sounds like its failing, but I looked at the properties in 'my computer' and they gave me the wrong OS!!!! How insane is this? They gave me windows media center 2002, I had to google to bring up the specs for my model, turned up the original costco ad for this model which clearly shows 2005.
Have you ever?? Like seriously. How hard is it to check you have the right OS before you install it?

Still Noisy
Computer is still noisy. When it shouldn't be *sigh* so I'm googling power supply to see if that might be what the problem is. The repair sheet says they cleaned the fan and heat sink, so I don't know, but the sound doesn't sound normal.

That Was Fast
Computer's home. Apparently what I thought was the fan was the hard drive, so I have a brand new one--which means reinstalling everything. 4 hours of windows updates this afternoon alone :o) And I can't get it to connect wirelessly to the net or the network. So I know what I'll be doing tomorrow.

At last
Shipped off the laptop for repair yesterday (the three month long debacle that was). Email this morning that's its been received. It says expected date is the 9th. Not sure if that's when they mean to get to it or when they assume they'll be done with it. But at least I know its there, hopefully safe and sound (and making that horrible jet engine sound when they boot it).
One last thing to worry about for now. :o)

February
I'm so glad the horrible month that was January is over. It had a couple nice points, including my birthday, but 90% of it sucked. This month is going to be insanely busy though. 7 workshops, 3 start today, 1 more this week and two next week. The last one starts on the 15th I think. My calendar already looks full with all the start and end dates written down. :)
