In the unforgettable, alternate world of Parallel Heat, two enemies are bound by betrayal, vengeance—and forbidden passion.
Warrior and royal guardian Marco McKinley has been assigned a vital mission on Earth, where a war between human fighters and otherworldly soldiers is rising in the far reaches of Wyoming. But he's also been warned about twists of fate yet to come-ones that will transform him into the enemy of his own people and appoint him the personal protector of beautiful soldier Thea Haven.
Little do Marco and Thea know, but they have met before in an alternate universe, and they are bound by betrayal and vengeance. Now, on a world at the brink of destruction, forbidden passion ignites—but will the destiny Marco has glimpsed unfold a second time?

Keeping with the theme
I'm a wimp when it comes to those. Though right now I'm watching BROTHERS GRIMM with Heath Ledger (and especially because its Heath Ledger) not exactly Nightmare on Elm street but still on the creepy side. One of my best friends in jr high absolutely loved those movies and I couldn't stand looking at even the movie covers (didn't help she had a movie poster in her room of Freddie *cringe*) Though I did watch one of those leprechaun movies with Jennifer Aniston a few years ago, squeezing my eyes shut at the gory parts. (which is odd, because I can stand a good action movie, but horror, nuh uh)
Do you watch spooky/scary movies or are you more like me and avoid the nightmare inducing ones? :o)

In the 'spirit' of things...
I've had a few odd experiences. Seen things. I'm not sure if I've posted this one before but about a month, maybe two ago, I was in the living room, dad was in the rocking chair and I looked over and behind him there was this faint figure (just the torso visible) that moved straight towards the front door. Which creeped me out.
Like on most haunted, my house has those weird footsteps in the hall when no one's around. The sound of someone sitting on a bed when well no one's there (which is especially creepy when your writing in the basement in the dark!). And the only lights that go on by themselves are a string of halloween lights without a blinker bulb that have decided to blink on their own. Which really is kinda creepy if they're the only light you have on and suddenly...pitch blackness...
So have you experienced anything paranormal?

Assorted rambles
The new idea's going slowish. I'm at 9K, my heroine still has no name and the dark and sexy, not quite so dark and sexy anymore. Apparently my sarcasm just wants to keep cropping in there.
Spent the weekend pulling the flowers out of the pots (only after freezing my hands saving seeds) and apparently just in time, since we've had wet snow the last few days (but thankfully its not sticking around). Right now half my desk is covered in four o'clock seeds needing to dry out. I promise once I get the desk cleared off I'll scan the photos off the pots from the summer and show off the pretty pots I had this year :o)
Other then that, not a lot new. Watched RAW this week. Loving DX as usual and my favorite hottie was in the audience, a nice surprise. Apparently he and his brother will be on Smackdown so I'll have to watch. Hockey's not as fun when you have to listen to it online, hard to tell who's on the ice and who isn't, so looking forward to Saturday when I can watch Montreal play. Thinking maybe I'll treat myself one of these days and go to an Oilers game. I'd like to see Phoenix play or Vancouver. See what happens.

New stuff
So I've been kinda quiet on here the last few days. Lost track of time. Listening to a few workshops on the weekend, I had a new idea hit. See, I kinda swore off romance for awhile, just wasn't interested in writing it, that's why the last two wips were paranormal 'formerly known as chick-lit' when listening to the Luna-Nocturne presentation, I'm suddenly hit with a new fresh idea. For Nocturne. Dark, sexy paranormal Nocturne. Did I mention they want romance?
So I am now attempting another romance. Why? Because the characters refuse to leave me alone.
But here's my hero -
Suitably brooding. Now if the picture doesn't load, I'll try again later.

Its a Good Ol' Hockey Game
So looking forward to this afternoon. Montreal plays at 5 our time (woohoo!) so I'm going all out and ordering pizza. Real food!! And even better real hockey. Watched the start of the phoenix-isles game on the preview last night, then watched most of the Oilers-Flames game. Few guys didn't impress me much, but Sykora did -- 2 goals. Could have had three or four but he tried to pass instead of shoot :( That never works out. The rematch is Saturday night and given the end of the game with the shoving and near fights, I'm sensing its going to be a gritty rematch!
Listening to a few more of the RWA workshops. I'm bouncing back and forth between the three discs (well 4, I got the top 25 of last year too) and learning a lot. Wondering about trying Nocturne, which would push Harley aside (er yeah, new story...) but its paranormal and dark, which I'm not sure I can do dark, but we'll see. The Sab query blitz hasn't gotten much response so far. I'm a little leery snail mailing anything right now since none of my mail is showing up. I've got things from June that still haven't shown up. Don't want to worry some response is getting lost somewhere between here and NYC. :o)

Update
I've done my 2 windows for the day and the shed doors, and can seriously say if I never see another paint brush or can of brilliant white paint, it'll be too soon. Really. But I'm free for the day and can now catch up on loads of email, if I owe you a chapter or anything, I promise it'll happen soon. :o)
